CTO Scott Penberthy comes to Heavy from Photobucket, where he held the title of Vice President of Engineering. Here, Dr. Penberthy led his engineering team to deliver the world’s largest and fastest growing personal media device, leading to the company’s recent acquisition by News Corporation.

Prior to his time with Photobucket, Dr. Penberthy served as CTO of IBM’s Industrial Sector and Vice President of IBM Global Services. Dr. Penberthy holds a SB and SM in Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Washington.
