HEAVY.COM NAMES DOUG ROHRER EVP-REVENUE

MTV Senior Sales Exec Joins the No. 1 Digital Entertainment Brand For 18 – 34 Year Old Guys

New York, NY – October 3, 2006: Heavy, the Number One digital entertainment brand for 18-34 year old guys with more than 14 million unique visitors per month (Nielsen), today announced the appointment of Doug Rohrer as Executive Vice President, Revenue. Co-CEOs and co-Founders Simon Assaad and David Carson made the announcement. Mr. Rohrer will oversee all revenue streams at the heavily trafficked broadband and mobile brand with an emphasis on ad sales which counts Unilever, Coca-Cola, Nike, Chrysler, Miller Brewing, HBO, MTV and Universal Pictures among its many advertisers.

“We’re very excited to welcome Doug to our team,” said David Carson, co-CEO of Heavy. “We’re completing our first-ever digital upfront season and Doug’s work with our outstanding sales team will more than triple Heavy’s ad revenue growth in 2006 and set us up for explosive growth in 2007.”

“There is no company better positioned than Heavy to fully realize the potential of a modern entertainment network,” said Doug Rohrer. “Heavy has a cult following of 18 – 34 year old males and they’ve already ‘cracked the code’ of how to successfully integrate advertising with content in the broadband space.”

Mr. Rohrer has spent the last 20 years driving record setting ad revenue for MTV Networks and Turner Broadcasting. He most recently held the position of Executive Vice President, Emerging Media, MTV Networks, where he sought to utilize his vast revenue generation expertise to identify, prioritize and drive the monetization of advertising revenues beyond traditional television. During his tenure at MTV Networks, ad sales revenue grew to become the largest segment of revenue at each of the networks and websites he controlled. As a member of the ad sales management team, Mr. Rohrer’s leadership was vital to the growth and structure of the ad sales division and a key strategic contributor to MTV Networks better than industry ad revenue results over the prior 14 years.

Between 2003 and 2005, Mr. Rohrer was Executive Vice President, General Sales Manager, “Funny Music” Group. In this capacity, he was responsible for MTV Networks largest and fastest growing group of networks and websites—MTV, MTV2, VH1, VH1 Classic, CMT and Comedy Central. He developed and implemented an upfront strategy that utilized individual network/website strengths and flexibilities to deliver best-in-class pricing and volume for the company’s bottom line.

Mr. Rohrer’s work at MTVN was not solely rooted in ad sales. He reported to and held weekly meetings with MTVN’s Chairman and was a key contributor to the long-term strategy of the company. He started his career at Turner Broadcasting in 1985 where he learned many media basics and rose from sales trainee to management before departing for MTV in 1992.

Mr. Rohrer received a BA in Business Administration from the University of Redlands and a Graduate Paralegal Degree from the University of San Diego. He is married with five children and resides in Greenwich, CT.
