HITWISE OCTOBER DAILY DATA SHOWS HEAVY.COM TO BE #2 VIDEO ENTERTAINMENT SITE—SECOND ONLY TO YOUTUBE

Following Google’s Acquisition of YouTube, Heavy.com is the Largest Independent Broadband Network in the US.

October 12, 2006 – New York, NY – Hitwise, the world’s leading online competitive intelligence service, released Hitwise daily data for the week ending October 7th showing Heavy.com, the largest independent broadband network in the US, to be the second largest entertainment video site on the web with .17% market share of traffic to All Categories. This compares with YouTube’s .31% market share at the same time—as may be seen in the graphic below. Heavy.com outranked MySpace Videos and Google Video for traffic based on visits.

For the week ending October 7, 2006

  • Heavy.com was the number one ranked site based on market share of visits in the Hitwise Entertainment-Humor category (1,051 sites overall)

  • Heavy.com was the number one ranked site based on market share of visits in the Hitwise Lifestyle-Men’s category (101 sites)

  • Heavy.com was the 15th ranked site based on market share of visits in the Hitwise Entertainment category (18,657 sites overall)

  • Heavy.com was the 62nd ranked site based on market share of visits among all US Internet websites (more than 750,000 sites overall)

  • The market share of visits for Heavy.com have increased 657% comparing the week ending October 7, 2006 versus the week ending October 8, 2005. The market share of visits for Heavy.com have increased 651% comparing September 2006 versus September 2005
