Hostess Nicole Arbour, “The World’s Sexiest Comedian,” Takes Fans Behind-the-Scenes of the 2008 Juno Awards
Heavy Rolls Out The “Black Carpet” at Exclusive Juno After Parties
Toronto, CAN—April 3, 2008: Heavy Canada, the web’s leading independent online video entertainment company, today announced the launch of “Heavy Music Canada: Backstage Access,” hosted by Nicole Arbour, “the World’s Sexiest Comedian.” The new program will feature interviews, live clips and behind-the-scenes footage from the hottest names in Canadian rock, electronic, pop, hip-hop and more. The inaugural episode will take viewers inside the 2008 Juno Awards in Calgary, AB, on April 3rd, and will feature interviews with artists from Warner Music Group, Universal Music and EMI. Following the Junos, Heavy will debut its very own “Black Carpet” (adorned with its infamous Sumo logo) at after parties held by Gibson Guitars—where Nicole Arbour will also serve as host—as well as Warner Music and Universal Music.
Backstage Access’ Canadian hostess, Nicole Arbour, a.k.a. “the Barbie of comedy,” is a bombshell that has had her Seinfeld-esque observational humor featured on: TSN; ESPN; The W Network; Comedy Network; Much Music and MMVA’s; MTV, Bell ExpressVu Vu! Capsules and various radio stations across North America. “The must see” at this year’s 2008 LA Comedy Festival.
“You’ve only dreamed about the type of behind-the-scenes, backstage access to the Canadian music scene that Heavy and Nicole Arbour are offering up,” said David U.K. “In this first episode, our gorgeous and hysterical hostess will give Heavy viewers an irreverent view and VIP taste as she interviews 2008’s Juno Award nominees. It’s a perfect fit as Heavy’s audience are major music fans, they spend in excess of 7 Million dollars per month on physical CD’s and more than a million on concert tickets each month!”
“We’re long-time fans of Heavy—from their early days in the U.S., through their recent explosion in Canada,” said Steve Kane, President of Warner Music Group. “We’re extremely excited to have our musicians featured on Heavy and can’t wait to see their hilarious coverage of the Juno’s. We partnered with Heavy the day they launched in Canada.”
M30 Communications, a Canadian production company will produce “Heavy Music Canada: Backstage Access” for Heavy in Canada.
